FOCUS Profile Range

Focus Label Machinery Ltd. offers a wide range of platemaking systems to suit all photopolymer platemaking requirements. Systems are available for both solvent washable flexo plates and water washable letterpress plates. Whether you require a compact, self contained tower system, or a fully automated flowline system for high volume production, Focus is able to offer the right system for you.

For low cost, in house platemaking on a small to medium scale, the Profile tower systems are perfectly suited. These systems are extremely compact and are fully comprehensive with integral exposure unit, washout tank, drying drawers and anti­tack systems if required. The digital control panel is easy to programme and controls all operations individually, allowing all units to be in use simultaneously, for increased productivity. The smallest system available is the Profile Flexo A4 with a maximum plate size of 270 × 370 mm. Larger tower systems are available, with maximum plate sizes of 600 × 800 mm

Replacement parts and consumable items for all systems are held at Focus and experienced staff are available for technical advice on all aspects of platemaking and film origination.

A wide range of photopolymer plates for a variety of applications is constantly in stock and available for immediate despatch.

	Washout section: the plate is fixed face down on the plate holder Relief washout is obtained by orbital movement of the plate over a brush frame (An exhaust device is incorporated for solvent fumes on the Flexo version
	Exposure: Pill out vacuum drawer with draw down sheet to hold plate during exposure
	Light finisher: Pull out drawer for UVC anti-tack exposure (Flexo version only)
	Dryer: Three dryer drawers with temperature control and exhaust blower

Solvent Washout Flexo Platemakers

A complete range of compact combination units for flexographic platemaking.

This all-in-one version combines all the platemaking steps and is designed for all types of plates and solvents (chlorinated and unchlorinated). Although compact and economical to run, these systems are of excellent build quality and will easily produce flexo plates of the highest quality, with smooth, even floors, crisp details and fine, clean reversals.

Water Washout Flexo Platemakers

A complete range of compact combination units for water washable flexographic plates. This "all-in-one" version  combines all the platemaking steps and is designed for use with the leading brands of water-washable pales. Ideally suited to the smaller platemaking operation where space is limited and value for money is paramount, this line is perfectly adapted for customers using limited thickness of plate.

Optional filter device for low production OR for higher production, the external filter unit is recommended.

OHKAFLEX Solvent Washable Flexo Plates

OHKAFLEX is the youngest generation of solvent washable flexographic printing plates manufactured by TOK, Japan. This new plate is ideal for use with all the less pollutive washout solvents now available. Excellent ink transfer and homogeneous coverage guarantee brilliant printing results, for solids, linework, reversed out areas and half tones. In addition, the accurate dimensional stability and small thickness tolerance of OHKAFLEX shows in consistent, high quality printing results. OHKAFLEX will improve your productivity through shorter processing times and increased flexibility, allowing fast and faultless plate mounting. The new, improved polymer has strong resistance to ozone, giving the plate a longer lifespan and making OHKAFLEX the right choice for repeat orders.

OHKAFLEX is available in two hardenesses and suitable for use with any modern inks, including water based, solvent based and U.V. cured inks, making it the perfect all round photopolymer plate for flexo printing.

JET Water Washable Photopolymer Plates

Through 15 years of research and development, Jet has become one of the world's leading suppliers of photopolymer plates. Manufactured by TOK in Japan, Jet plates are available in a variety of backings and hardnesses to suit a wide range of printing applications, including labels, tube, tampon, dry offset and letterpress.

The Jet plate has become well established as one of the most environmentally friendly plates on today's market. Unlike many other plates, Jet's P.V.A. polymer contains no nylon and is completely water soluble, producing minimal washout residue. This results in a cleaner plate and sharper image reproduction. Furthermore, Jet plates are quick to process and have a long printing life, making them ideal for repeat print.
