Letterflex Text

Letterflex is a method of direct rotary printing that uses Relief Image Plates of photopolymer material. The Image Plates are fixed to Plate Cylinders of various repeat lengths and inked by a cell structured Anilox Roll. Ink is transferred directly from the image plate to the textile material as it passes through the press.

The Letterflex system brings together the quality of Letterpress Paste Inks specially developed for textiles and the economy of Standard Flexographic Photopolymer Plates for direct image transfer onto the substrate. Together they provide the ultimate in print quality and unsurpassed production speeds with real flexibility and economy.

Inks

A number of approved manufacturers are able to supply these special inks in any Pantone colour you require. Furthermore colours can be mixed to provide special colours on the press. The ‘Heat Set’ ink ranges are designed to meet the hardest of wash resistant requirements set by the retail organisations and most inks are now Oekatex approved for use throughout Europe. When used to the manufacturers instructions, approved ink will pass all washing & dry cleaning tests including British Standards and the AATCC.

Polymer plates

Standard flexographic printing plates are used and they are widely available throughout the world. Manufacturers include DuPont, BASF, JET, TOK and using one of these brands will ensure the highest print quality reproduction. Printing plates can be made ‘in house’ and Focus are able to supply platemaking equipment from Photomeca & Cartomac and photopolymer plate from TOK. Full details are available on request. Training

Focus Label Machinery offers a full training program at its dedicated showroom facility. This includes Printing, Platemaking, Cutting & Folding, UltraSonic Training and Full Technical and Maintenance Training.
