| Platemaking
DEFINITION: Method of Rotary Printing using a raised image Rubber or Photopolymer Printing Plate and fast drying liquid Inks
A) The Colour Stations are all mounted around a Central Drum, which supports the substrate as it passes each colour unit. This system has the advantage of providing a compact machine.
A) The Colour Stations are mounted horizontally, these machines tend to be longer than CI presses andcan generally be supplied with more colour units.
A) Both Systems have advantages in different markets, we will be happy to advise base on your requirements.
A) Almost everything we see in the printing world has been touched by Flexo. Markets such as Packaging, Labels, Tickets, Newspapers, Magazines are now seeing Flexo take a bigger share of an industry once dominated by Offset, Letterpress & Gravure.
Focus machines are generally used in Narrow web converting applications on materials such as Paper, Self adhesive stock, Films, Foils, Synthetics, Tyvec, Textiles and Board.
A) Solvent & Water Based are commonly used and these are readily available from a number of Sources. More recently U.V Curable Inks have seen an increase in use in Flexographic printing systems, however they do require individual U.V drying systems to take full advantage of this Technology.
