| Platemaking
DEFINITION: Method of Rotary Printing onto Textiles using a raised image
Rubber or Photopolymer Printing Plate and Special Paste Inks
A) The Colour Stations are all mounted around a Central Drum, which supports the textile as it passes each colour unit. This system has the advantage of providing a compact machine.
A) This is a combination of Photopolymer Plates used in Flexographic Printing and special Letterpress Paste Inks.
A) To accommodate the vast market we supply equipment into. Basically the machine type depends on the maximum number of colors required.
A) Most textiles can be printed such as Polyester, Nylon, Satin, Tyvec,
Cotton, Twill, Grograin, however the better the finish the better print quality
will be.
End printed products include Labels, Bias bindings, Lace, Elastic, Decorative
Print and Ribbons etc.
A) We recommend 3 sources of Ink supply, all of which comply to Okatex , AATCC and British Standards. (Details on request)…These are also approved by the major retailers.
There are other sources, however we recommend individual testing before use.
A) If the Inks are used within the manufacturer recommendations, they will withstand all normal washing extremes.
