Focus Label Machinery Ltd, based in Nottignham, UK, are specialists in supplying and manufacturing flexographic presses for textile label printing and plate making systems. Focus operate worldwide with offices based in Nottingham, UK and are pleased to announce a new concept of Labelling utilising its latest LX Letterflex technology and specialised Transfer Papers for Garment and decorative transfers and textile label printing. (TagTrans)
Focus has developed its own unique, ink, paper chemistry for textile label printing and printing transfer technology through flexographic presses in order to stick the entire image to the garment or fabric, eliminating the need of a sew in Label. 'Among the industry's textile label printing solutions providers, there are as many different variables of Tagless labels and Transfer Label offerings as there are suppliers, we believe we are the first single company to design specific equipment including flexographic presses to meet the demand of this emerging technology’, mostly quoted by Robert Lee, who has been heading up development of the 'TagTrans' project.
'The beauty of the LX machine is that it can be used to produce high quality complex multi colour transfers (4 Colour Process Images) for textile label printing from Roll to Roll with only the adhesive layer required to be applied by traditional Silk Screen methods, which Focus also manufactures.' There are also some new additions to the flexographic presses available. Choose the products menu to learn more about our range of flexographic presses or contact us in Nottigham, UK for assistance.
Applications: Tagless Labels, Heat Transfers, Branding, Trade Logos.
'TagTrans' Labels, Tags and Prints are presented in rolls or Sheets ready to be applied onto the fabric with the application of heat and pressure. The application process typically takes about two to five seconds, depending on the manufacturer’s process and the type of fabric. The tag constitutes an ultra-thin layer of specially formulated adhesive and lettering, which results in a sharp image being fixed permanently to the fabric. Standard practice calls for the labels to be durable enough to withstand 50 washes as well as dry cleaning. Focus have already tested the system in Nottingham, UK, to both AATC & M&S standards as well as dry cleaning.
Heat transfer labels and Tagless Labels can be applied to polyester, polyethylene, leather, spandex and nylon. The latest developments in the technology have enabled these tags to be applied to thin low-weight fabrics, such as those used in Sportswear and lingerie, without any see-through effect.
Focus also offers a wide range of plate making systems to suit all photopolymer plate making requirements. The plate making systems are available for both solvent washable and water washable plates.
